Sue Trevathan saw Pine Siskins gathering dog hair and other nesting materials at her house today. They then flew into a nearby Douglas Fir. Siskins have been very active all spring across the island and it looks like many may be around to nest, though this is the first one seen doing so this year.

Monday at Pt. Robinson, I noticed a flock of 40+ Steller Jays gathering on the radar tower, flying a few hundred yards NE over Puget Sound and then returning. They kept this behavior up continuously for the hour or so that I was there with none actually going all the way to Des Moines across the water.

Also, today, Karen Fevold found a Lazuli Bunting. Except for Western Wood Pewee and Willow Flycatcher, all of our usual migrants have returned or passed on through.
