Subject: [Tweeters] Mexican Bird help

We were in Mexico in late February, on the Pacific coast, about 40 miles
north of Puerto Vallarta, staying in a little town called Sayulita. I took
a few early morning bird walks and saw several new birds for my life list.
All of them I found in my Howell&Webb ?Birds of Mexico and Northern Central
America? EXCEPT!!!!

One largish brown bird.
18? to 24? over all height 50% tail, 50% body, (truly a dramatically long
and fairly broad broad tail)
Dark, even chestnut brown color back
Erect posture on the branch, gliding flight from branch to branch
Smallish bill
No song heard.

HELP! It?s been driving me crazy, that tail was so distinctive, and that
consistent chestnut brown color, but nothing in the books.

If you have any ideas please let me know!
