Hello All.
This morning three of us birded the Walla Walla River delta where there were
extensive mud flats. It was refreshing and restful to look this super
birding site over. We observed the following species....

Am. Avocet....28 birds
Black-necked Stilt....7 birds
Semipalmated Plover....1 bird
Long-billed Dowitcher....9 birds
WHITE-FACED IBIS....5 birds, rare in this area.
Virginia Rail....1 ad.and 5 tiny fuzzy black chicks.
Glaucous-winged Gull....2 adult birds
Herring Gull....2 sub-adult birds
Osprey....1 bird
Coopers Hawk....1 bird
Yellow-headed Blackbird....16 birds
Bullocks Oriole....1 female
Ruby-crowned Kinglet....1 ad.

Tyson blood pond

BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER.... 1 ad. in alternate plumage, rare in this area
during this season.

Tyson slop ponds

Wilson's Phalarope....9 birds
Long-billed Dowitcher....30 birds
Blue-winged Teal....1 ad. male
Western Sandpiper....2 birds

Charbonneau Park

Bullocks Oriole....2 birds
Western Flycatcher....1 bird

McNary NWR,HQ

Bullocks Oriole....1 bird
Coopers Hawk....1 pair nesting in trees at HQ that are soon to be removed.
