Hi Tweeters
My wife and I will be traveling through WA starting June 3 on I-90. We plan to spend a night in Ellensburg and check out Wenas briefly. We have Opperman's guide and have been monitoring the list I need the location of the burn near Cle Ulam where Black Backed Woodpeckers have been reported. Also want locations of Flammulated Owl in any of this area down to Yakima vicinity. Other birds would be Dusky Grouse, Veery, Whiteheaded Woodpecker, Vaux's Swift.
We will return to this area on June 15-16. Also in the Blue Mtns where is Great Gray Owl located. Biscuit Ridge has been given in the guide. Would like to stay on the west side of the Blues. We will follow I-84 into Oregon and home.
We have contacts on the Eastside and will bird there also on the way to and from Alaska.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Will post the trip.
Reply offlist please.
