Today Ed Sakai and the two of us looked up the Acorn Woodpecker near Oakville. Thanks to Paul Hick's driving instruction we had no problems finding the place. No bird in the morning! After having had lunch nearby we returned at 1 PM. Within 10 minutes Ed located the bird near the areas as previously described. We enjoyed watching this colorful woodpecker for quite some time in action.
