On the grounds of Flight Structures, Inc. (6330 31st Ave. N.E., Tulalip, WA
98271) there has been over the last hour or so a LEAST FLYCATCHER, a rarity
and twice so because of the very early date. I observed the bird
flycatching in quite uncharacteristic habitat--tall cedars and firs around
the parking area, although the bird did occasionally drop to feed in young
maple and other deciduous trees. The "che-bunk" notes have been given in a
periodic and singular way, although I've heard them paired at times also.
The bird is loosely associated with some Yellow-rumps, W. Tanager and other
species.

Also wanted to report that a flock of 80 WHIMBREL was at the north end of
Camano I. on Sunday, May 13, feeding in a freshly-mowed hay field on the
north side of the main road, just before the road begins its turn southward.
