Saturday I saw 1 male Cinnamon Teal in what looks like a very large
retention pond that's on the east side of the Sammamish River trail in
Redmond. We got there from the Willows Road and NE 116th street junction.
Drove east on 116th and parked just after crossing the river in the model
airplane parking lot on the right of 116th. Walked north on the Sammamish
trail for about a mile (guessing) and the pond was on the left. Cool bird.

Another great place right now is the system of ponds/swamps formed around
North Creek. The Bothell North Creek Business Park has a series of raised
trails along the creek that are alive with birds right now. On Sunday, saw
3 Hooded Mergansers and a Wood Duck female with 6 chicks at the most
northerly pond, which is below the Northshore School District administrative
building off of Montevilla Pkwy.
