Hello Tweets,
We have just updated our website with photos of the adult White-faced Ibis at the Boeing Ponds originally found yesterday morning by Kraig Kemper. Our photos were obtained around 12pm the same day during periods of rain. The bird was extremely active as it foraged in rather deep water at times in search of grubs, etc. The water level of the small pond that the bird was in at the time was quite low,but the water level of the same pond today was much higher. It was nice to see the bird this morning as it roosted in a willow grove growing in the main pond. We truly weren't expecting to see the bird this morning, but perhaps it has moved on and will show up somewhere else. We were able to take several hundred photos of the bird yesterday, but have placed 17 of the best photos on our website. It was our closest view of a White-faced Ibis in Washington.
Our photos of the White-faced Ibis from the Boeing Ponds can be viewed at the following link: http://www.pbase.com/godwit/white-faced_ibis_photos/
