When MerryLynn Denny wrote us earlier today, she said she hoped that the
unsettled weather would bring something good. Well, it did.

A Rose-breasted Grosbeak appeared at the home of Lisa Hill and Larry Umthun
this afternoon. It fed under one of their feeders 3 times and stayed for
awhile during its last visit. They spread the word, but we were
disappointed when it did not return. Lisa and Larry asked us to post this
and we will send updates if the bird returns.

They did get pictures and hopefully they will be posted on LCBirds
(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/LCBirds/ Join to view). We will also
update if/when a public website is available.

>From the pictures we could see some details left of immature plumage some
fine streaking near the neck, yet the head was entirely black. The rose red
chest was somewhat limited in area.
