Subject: [Tweeters] Red-necked Phalaropes at Nisqually NWR

Hello, My daily jaunt to Nisqually this morning turned up 5 Red-necked
Phalaropes twirling around the west end of the first pond from the parking
lot as one heads out towards McAllister Creek. I managed some pictures and
will try to get them up later today.
The Hammond's Flycatcher that spent a week near the visitor center seems to
have moved on. I will post pictures of that bird as well when time allows.
A raven (or ravens) was seen several times as it crossed the delta following
I-5. Though I had my first raven there over 2 decades ago and many others
have encountered this species there as well, for some reason it is still not
included on the refuge species list handed out at the visitor center.

Thanks,
Keith Brady
