For those who may think I erred in my sighting at
Ocean Shores, not so, IMHO; I prefer ermine to
short-tailed weasel since it helps me remember the
species name.

Mustela erminea - Short-tailed Weasel - a.k.a. ermine.
There is an article online by Ken Steffenson
(http://www.hylebos.org/statepark/Weasel.htm); the
photo is identical to the critter I saw as are several
others of Mustela erminea.
