Hi folks,
This evening I was pleasantly surprised to find my first Yellow-
breasted Chat on state land near my home, and was also excited to
find that it is a rare species for the Puget Trough, though I don't
have a good feel for it's distribution in WA. I got one long-
distance photo which confirms it's ID. This may be the second time
I've seen one at this location--off Gabriel Rd. near Yacolt in Clark
County on logged state land--but I'm not certain. I don't believe
any birders frequent the area except for myself, and I've found it to
be a relatively productive spot lately. Yesterday I saw my FoS
MacGillivray's Warbler and a juvenile Olive-sided Flycatcher which is
always around. My email is speedpicker at gmail.com if you're
interested in more info or pictures.
