I've been "running the gauntlet" along Marine View drive on the Tulalip Res
near Marysville. The Brewer's Blackbirds seem to be nesting in pyramidalis
planted in rows at a couple residences bordering the road and don't like
passerby. As mentioned by others, the birds dive at you from the back, and
although I've not been thumped yet on my jog, the birds get close enough to
cause me to raise a hand to repel them. I recall years ago having birds on
Lopez I. pull them same stunt, and made very close passes, with beak snaps,
as if to bite the ear...

Among 30 or so species about the yard this a.m., we had a CASSIN'S VIREO and
a W. WOOD-PEWEE, neither common on migration at our place in n. Lake
Stevens.
