There seems to be a fairly healthy population of Brewer's Blackbirds in my area (Edmonds). I haven't noticed any difference from last year.
Many of you have already seen this, but with all the talk of blackbird attacks makes me think of a photo that I think sums up their "little bird, big attitude" personalities. It can be found here: http://www.goatislandimages.com/Passerines%20I.htm
You'll have to click on the little arrow to the right of the thumbnails a few times to get to the photo in question. You'll know it when you see it :o).

Why are there no Brewer's Blackbirds around Green Lake this year? have the crows wiped them out? The starlings? I miss them.

Are they in short supply everywhere?
