Hey all,
While exploring on the peninsula yesterday I had
a Western Kingbird on Hermisson Rd., which runs to the
north off of rt 110, off of La Push Rd. It was on
private property, which I did not have permission to
be on, so I guess that's all I've got. I guess they
are pretty regular in the area this time of year
though?? Also, thousands upon thousands of Murres
were "swarming" like flies on a poached elk, (which I
also saw) just south of the rocks to the east and
south of First Beach in La Push on Wednesday. It is
interesting as their numbers in the straits seem to be
low compared to years past, (personal comm. from a
friend who has done surveys for the past four years).
Anyway, good birding to all,
