While conducting a survey at Stillwater Wildlife Management Unit north of Carnation this a.m. I had a Yellow-breasted Chat. The bird was seen and heard in the NE portion of the unit, near Harris Creek, in the slough and willow scrub area, just west of the creek. This bird was heard earlier in the week (on Tuesday) as well. I've not run into these guys since monitoring some of their nests while working in the Sandhills of NE... kind of fun to watch these strange little clowns.

Maybe he'll hang out for awhile, convenient spot to watch his antics (he's probably lonely).
