Hi all,
Today at Discovery Park My family and I found a Dove that was either a
ringed turtle dove or a Eurasian collared dove. I'm going for turtle dove
because of the lighter coloration of the primaries and the more extensive
white on the tail. We found the bird at first near the south meadow. He was
perched in a dead tree next to the pond and then flew away. I relocated him
perched on a wire next to the school across the street and then he flew into
the south meadow. when we went over there to find him there were already
some birders with a scope on him who were kind enough to share and we got
some great looks. thank you. my dad got a few pictures to. for a bird that
is supposed to be escaped from someones pet store or something it was very
skittish.
That's all for now,
