Subject: [Tweeters] Northern Flicker Yellow-Shafted in Edmonds?

Dear Tweeters,

As I was driving SE on 104 in Edmonds at about 1:15 p.m. today, just
before reaching 100th Ave W, I was surprised to catch a quick glimpse of a
flying flicker with obvious yellow underwings. It crossed the road from
south to north, possibly heading for some trees near the antique mall
(10117 Edmonds Way, Edmonds, WA) or the taco fast food restaurant. I
turned around and drove through the parking lot to search for it, but no
luck.

Has anyone else spotted this bird?

Happy birding,

Blythe Horman
