Hi, The pair of Lazuli Bunting continue near the west parking lot at
Nisqually NWR. The female was once again quite agitated and her feathers
from breast to belly were again parted, as if she'd just come off the nest.
I'd be quite surprised if they weren't raising a family in the willow
thicket.
That was the sighting, here is the question: maybe I haven't been paying
attention the past couple of years, but what is the status of Lazuli Bunting
as a breeder in Thurston County? Bill? Patrick?
Also at the refuge: Wilson's Phalarope, Yellow-headed Blackbird and more.
'til Later,
Keith Brady
Olympia, WA
