Finally got the binoculars on the little guy yesterday. We had been seeing the unidentified suspect depart with the finch flock for the past couple of weeks. It turned out to be a Common Redpoll as we'd suspected. A first for us! That stimulated the economy a 'whole bunch' as I went 'straight out' and bought some niger thistle seed.
