Tweets,
This morning I encountered the first sizable winter flocks of the season:
- Siskins: 80-100, bathing/drinking at Mull St marsh
- Crossbills: ~18, ditto (may have been another larger flock around)
- Mallards: ~27, mostly males
- Song Sparrow: 12-20 individuals together where normally I might see 6 or
so, on the conservation property (probably a highest-ever count)
Other birds of interest:
- Evening Grosbeaks
- Cedar Waxwing: 7, Mull St
- Band-t Pigeon (late for here)
- Townsend's Warbler, with good-sized mixed flock
- White-throated Sparrow (tan stripe) in my yard for the last 10 days
Good birding!
