Hello all,
On this warm sunny day we birded west Walla Walla county and found:

Osprey - 1 getting late - over Burbank Slough
Mew Gull - 1 early bird at Ice Harbor Dam
Thayer's Gull - 1 adult below the dam and another at the "poop pile area"
Herring Gull - 20+ at the same area
Spotted Sandpiper - 2 birds at bottom of overflows at Ice Harbor Dam
Eurasian Collared Dove - at least 4 in Touchet
Great Egret - 4 on Strawberry Island and 5 at Burbank HMU
Dunlin - 9 below Ice Harbor Dam and 20 at "blood pond" on Dodd RD.
Least Sandpiper - 2 birds " " "
Prairie Falcon - 1 bird " "
"
Golden Eagle - 1 adult over Hood Park - circling off to the south

Watched 6,000+ Canada Geese in "V's" coming down the snake river over the
dam - quite a spectacle.

Also have a secondhand report of two Blue Jays in Walla Walla - has not been
confirmed and no birds were found today.

Later, MerryLynn
