Hi Bruce and Tweets. In Dec of 2000 I submitted a Canada Goose neck collar
I.D. to the bird banding lab and received a certificate of thanks from the
USGS (Dept of the Interior) and the Alaska Fish & Game. They told me the
bird was originally banded out of Cordova, Ak. in 1996, recaptured in the
same place in 1998, observed in Ocean Shores in Jan of 1999 and then my
re-observation in Ocean Shores in Dec of 2000.

In January of 2006 I found two more geese with neck collars on the golf
course here in Ocean Shores, submitted those and received two "Certificate
of Appreciation" from the USGS. Each gave the hatch year, the banding
location and date, the bander, and the sex of the bird.

You MAY get something back.if the funds are still available for that sort of
an acknowledgement. I hope you do; I treasure mine.
