What's interesting to me is that Matt and I found it this morning around 8:45 a.m. and it was still roosting apparently in the same, very obvious (close to the path) location so many hours later. And with all the crows around...

At approx. 2:30 this afternoon I spotted an owl sitting in a cluster of trees off the main path to the Center for Urban Horticulture, It was sitting in the trees directly across from the large gray drainage pipe on a low branch. It's the first owl I've spotted without assistance.
