Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday November 8. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls

On November 6 a BLACK-VENTED SHEARWATER was off Boiler Bay.

Very heavy loon movements are now passing just offshore. On November 6 a
number of MOUNTAIN CHICKADEES and CLARK?S NUTCRACKERS were seen in the Coos
County Coast Range. Other chickadees were reported from Josephine County and
in Eugene.

On November 5 a SAY?S PHOEBE, a PALM WARBLER, and a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW
were at Pistol River. A YELLOW-BILLED LOON was seen November 3 at the mouth
of the Siuslaw River. On October 30 three SNOW BUNTINGS and a GLAUCOUS GULL
were at Ponsler Wayside north of Florence. On November 7 a FRANKLIN?S GULL
and 65 ANCIENT MURRELETS were off Boiler Bay. A SNOW BUNTING was seen
November 3 on the beach at Tillamook Bay. On November 1 a ROCK SANDPIPER was
at Seaside.

On November 4 a BLACK PHOEBE was on Sauvie Island at the slough on Gillihan
Road near its junction with Reeder Road. On November 5 an adult GOLDEN
EAGLE was soaring over downtown Portland. A NORTHERN SHRIKE is now at Powell
Butte Park in Gresham. Two BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS were seen November 5
at the marsh across from the Fernhill Wetlands parking lot. That day a SAY?S
PHOEBE was at Champoeg State Park. On November 5 an AMERICAN TREE SPARROW
was at Baskett Slough NWR. The BLACK PHOEBE is now back at the junction of
Smithfield and Livermore Roads north of the refuge. A BURROWING OWL is now
being seen off Davis Road near Halsey. A RUFF was reported November 3 west
of Junction City. It has not been relocated.

A SNOW BUNTING was reported November 7 near Bend.
