Hi Tweets,

The Cattle Egret continued to feed well, mobbing crows notwithstanding,
in the northwest corner of the grassy field north of the soccer stadium
at the west side of the UBNA/Montlake Fill site -- 11am, Friday, Nov.
9.

After watching for a while, and not having much time, I directly headed
south on the road paralleling the stream, turned left (east) across the
bridge, then right (south) into the loop trail. As I continued on the
trail located west of the central pond, I looked to my left, and at the
southern edge of the central pond stood . . . a . . . cattle egret!
This bird was looking up and down over its immediate environs several
times, and finally lifted up into the southerly winds, circled and
hovered a couple times, and finally flew back to the northwest.

So either this egret snuck around me as I walked from the grassy field
over to the loop trail, or . . . . could there be more than 1
cattle egret at the Fill?

Either way, it was fun watching its beautiful white figure. (And the
pair of wood ducks, M/F, on the far west west 'pond' were a bonus.)
