The bird seems to be sticking close to its regular schedule. It was feeding
in the northwest corner of the soccer field with an entourage of 3 birders
when I arrived at 1.15, and was still there when I left at 2pm. Definitely
not a shy bird - while we were skulking carefully by the bushes, a man with
a camera lens the size of most trees walked straight across the field and
set up 15 feet from the egret. It eyed him for a few seconds, then carried
right on feeding.

I enjoyed getting a nice view of the Cattle Egret today. I saw it shortly
before 11 am on one of the playfields north of the soccer field. It is very
white and very noticible on the green.

A surprise today was a very late Brown-headed Cowbird in a large group of
Starlings in the nearby parking lot.
