Subject: [Tweeters] Harlequin Duck Migration

Greetings all,

I have some English birding friends who will be visiting next year
during the last week of September and first week or so of October. The
Harlequin Duck is one of their "must sees", and I suspect that they'll
be on the move during that time from the mountains to their wintering
coastal grounds.

Does anyone have firsthand knowledge of when the Harlequins appeared on
the shorelines this year (and if you were a Harlequin, where would you
be on or around October 1st)?

Many thanks,
