Hello All,

Today was the annual BMAS ( Blue Mountain Audubon Society) Fieldtrip known
as "Tom's Turkey Trott" lead by that man with an eye for Wild Turkeys, Tom
Scribner. We learned it takes a Tom to find a tom. Today we along with 17
others observed 365 Wild Turkeys in the northern foothills of the Blue
Mountains in Walla Walla and Columbia County. This is the largest number of
these introduced rototillers we have ever seen in a single day. We also
located two Northern Pygmy-Owls in Walla Walla County. This owl species is
county bird # 252 for this year! Two Great Horned and One Long-eared Owl
were also seen in Walla Walla County.
