Join me on an owl hike at Seward Park that I will be leading through the
Seattle Parks Department on Sat November 24th from 7:30 to 9:30 pm (the on
line brochure erroneously says it is at 8pm, but the printed brochure
correctly has it as 7:30 pm). Preregistration is required and the fee is $8
per person. Call 684-7434 to pre-register or you can pre-register at
www.camplong.org.
This will be a family friendly program, so bring the whole family or just
come alone.

On our last owl walk at Seward we had a great night hike through the woods
as well as having a very cooperative juvenile Barred Owl giving it's
"whooah" call while we watched. We also watched it rolling its head - a
behavior of juveniles that indicated its age.
