Wednesday, Nov. 21, I encountered a turkey in vicinity of Moore and Skagit City Roads, near a poplar plantation. Didn't see white in its tail feathers, which Sibley says domestic birds have. But it may have been heavier than wild strains. It was taking its chances, with many goose hunters around and Thanksgiving hard upon us. If anyone wants to look at an image, I can sent a jpeg.
