I visited Carnation this morning, birding along West Snoqualmie River
Road for a little over an hour. At the Carnation Marsh there were a
lot of birds including a Tundra Swan, 7 Trumpeter Swans, 2 RB
Sapsuckers, 2 Pileated Woodpeckers, 3 Swamp Sparrows, 300 Pine
Siskins, and 75 Evening Grosbeaks. Farther south a Peregrine Falcon
was perched in a snag. At SE 19th Way there was a diverse flock of
gulls that included a Thayer's and a Herring. While watching them a
Lapland Longspur circled the field calling before flying off to the
SE.

Good Birding,
