Dear Tweeters,

On Saturday (11-24-07), a quick stop at the Samish
West Ninety (Skagit County) proved most rewarding. A
flock of six Horned Larks flew right by the parking
area. They landed out in the grass, where I lost them.
Not five minutes later, a Prairie Falcon buzzed over
the parking area, headed toward Alice Bay.

A flock of 12 odd little passerines out near the dike
were not pipits, but I could not ID them. I thought
they might have been Lapland Longspurs, but did not
want to go out into hunter territory to search for
them.

At March Point were 20 Least Sandpipers, at the
southeast corner of Fidalgo Bay, where they often
resort.

Also, the three Eurasian Collared Doves were spotted
again in Sedro-Woolley, exactly the same spot as
earlier this month, F & S Grade Road just west of SR
20.

Yours truly,

Gary Bletsch
