Hi,
While outside retrieving a book my Golden and taken, (this morning about 11 AM) I discovered 9 Trumpeter Swans flying and calling, just over my house.....Great new yard bird! We have also had huge flocks of Canada nearby in the lake and flying around,hundreds of them. We don't normally get such large flocks.

The city has torn down a number of important trees, due to building condos near Allan York Park, just off the lake. I do not see my Pileated Woodpeckers, except on occasion now.

The Bald Eagle pair has returned, but have yet to start on the nest building; but they are definitely spending quality time together.
