While working in Yacolt right before sundown I noticed a small flock of Monk
Parakeets just south and across the street from where people board the train
for sight seeing.

The people that have lived in Yacolt said they are resident year-round.
Sounds like they use the transformers on the utility poles for roosting as
they provide warmth. They were up in a large tree when I heard and saw
them.
