Susan and I stopped by Vancouver Lake on the way home from
birding Ridgefield today and found over a thousand CACKLING GEESE with
several hundred GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE sitting on Vancouver lake to
the south of the Flushing Channel.

Last night about 1 AM I heard CACKLING GEESE migrating overhead. The
calls went on for 15-20 minutes at our Cascade park home in Vancouver
(just northeast of the 205 bridge) so there must have been a lot of them.
