thank you all for the ID. I was in San Blas, Mexico. I had
thought it was a snail kite, but then Howell and Webb indicated
that snail kite do not occur that far north on the Pacific
coast. However, from a web search, it appears that they may
have expanded into that area in the past decade or so.
