i think your chickadees and nuthatches found their way to sammamish (about
100 metres up, reasonably-wooded wetland)... in the last few days, my
feeder has been crawling with both chickadees (CBCH and BCCH), red-breasted
nuthatches, and large numbers of goldfinches, too. the RBNUs and AMGOs are
much more plentiful the last few weeks, sometimes outnumbering the resident
chickadees...

We also had red breasted nuthatches breed here in the early summer and saw
their fledglings but then they all disappeared. They have returned just in
this past week.

As for chickadees....nothing! They were a big part of our winter flock last
year, both black-capped and chestnut-backed varieties, but I haven't seen or
heard a single one since they left last Spring. Very odd.
