Subject: [Tweeters] About 90 Turkey Vultures over Burien

At 12:40 this afternoon there were two kettles of Turkey Vultures in Burien,
just northwest of SeaTac airport. The first kettle was circling low over
the small hill just northwest of the intersection of SR 509 and 518 trying to
gain altitude. Failing that, they proceeded in a loose line west over the
Fred Meyer parking lot and downtown Burien, towards Puget Sound. The line
allowed easier counting, with this kettle having 70-72 birds. The second kettle
was a little more to the north, following the same path, and had 19 birds in
it.

They were low enough to also get the attention of two others in the Fred
Meyer parking lot.
