Hello All
I did a walk around Nisqually NWR today. It was windy and a bit quiet for
the most part, but I did have some highlights among 88 species. There was a
Swamp Sparrow at the Twin Barns, just off from the observation deck. There
were around 60 Violet-green Swallows flying around; it's quite late for such
large numbers. Among them were 10 Vaux's Swifts, which are even later.
Raptors were fairly good, with 1 Peregrine, 2 Merlin, and a pair of American
Kestrel on Nisqually Cut-off Rd.
Thanks,
Charlie Wright
