Tweeters,

Stopped by Juanita Park briefly this afternoon around 4pm, to look for the Amercian Black Duck reported last week. It was with 7 Mallards approx. in the middle of the enclosed area, but within 8-10 feet of the shore. I was able to get great looks at it as the ducks moved east towards a group of about 50 Coots. Once near the coots, the Mallards kept to the shore while the ABDU moved with the Coot flock out into the middle of the enclosed area. Nice bird for King Co. I have only one other personal King Co. record of one, about 10 years ago, out towards Enumclaw off of 400th street.
