Hi Tweets,

Just some observations of what I saw this morning watching a huge gut pile (cow).

I got there about 9:10 and was parked along side the road in the ditch, using my car as a blind. I was about 150 yards away.

10 Ravens were in the area, some eating at the gp, or caching food. 2 Bald Eagles were flying around. Lots of crows everywhere and most were staying back a few feet from the Ravens that were eating.

A juv TV flew in and landed about 9:30, but never approached the gp. He took off again, leaving the area.

The Ravens were caching food in the woods and in the pasture grass. The crows were keeping watch and were taking the food hidden in the grass.

A Bald Eagle flew by but does not land. A juv Merlin perches on a bush between me and the gp.

The TVs start flying in at 11:00. They all came on the same wind, I could see them coming from the north flying in a line, when they got to the stand of fir trees they would bank right and land right next to the gp.

I saw 14 Ravens and 12 TVs at one time. Even when the birds would be scared off the gp, never did the crows eat from it. It was like there was a circle around the gp and they could not cross it. Though when a mole got run over on the road in front of me they came and peaked at that till it was almost gone.

I was there for about 3 hours. And one sheriff and 3 nice gentlemen in pickups all stopped to ask me if I needed help.
