hi folks

saw my first red-breasted mergansers of the year in a usual location
feeding among the rocks and along the beach near point migley, here on
lummi island - 27 of them!

also watched two ravens give the bum's rush to a bald eagle - the
eagles are just back from their yearly jaunt up the rivers with the
salmon...

harlequins and surf scoters are all around and the pigeon guillemots
are gray and white...

so foggy this morning - even though the alders are mostly green it has
felt like winter for some time now...

anxiously awaiting the long-tailed ducks.
