the hawks seem to be congregating in the valley north of carnation. at a quick glance, they all appear to be redtails. this morning there were two on the big snag north of sikes lake. one on a power/telephone pole cross arm across the street from the nestle's conference center and four in one of the snags near the river half way between nestle's and the bridge. there were also three pied billed grebes on sikes lake.
