Hi everyone,

today my brother and I were sitting in our backyard in north Seattle when my
brother looked up and saw a whole mess of geese. There were at least 100,
probably more and we noticed that they were 1, not flying in any sort of
formation that resembled a "V" and 2, their call was decidedly not Canadian
(I didn't hear a single eh). we ran inside for binoculars which were not
powerful enough to really see anything because they were so high up. once we
got the scope on them we could see that they were white with black wingtips.
they were heading due south very high up and I'm wondering why they didn't
stay in Skagit. my best guess is the Klamath basin in N. California????
also I thought I heard a varied Thrush singing but I cant be sure without
seeing them. I'm still working on their calls.
