i just published a piece on my blog about the new
species of antbird that was recently discovered in
Brazil .. apparently, this bird was first collected in
1965 by a German naturalist, Rolf Grantsau, who did
not know it was a new species to science. As a result,
the bird now bears his name, Formicivora grantsaui. My
piece includes lots of pictures of the birds and also
some sonograms, which was part of how it was argued
that this bird was indeed, a new species to science;
