This is our last announcement inviting Audubon chapter leaders and Audubon
members from all regions of our state to the fall session of Audubon Council
of Washington. The conference, being held in Sequim on October 19, 20, and
21, is nearly full, but there's still time to sign up. Theme: Restoring and
Protecting Washington's Natural Areas. All information about the three day
event, and a registration form, can be downloaded at
www.olympicpeninsulaaudubon.org <http://www.olympicpeninsulaaudubon.org/> .

To summarize the activities, on Friday there are state-wide education and
conservation committee meetings and an evening reception and presentation on
Elwha River Research. Saturday includes reports from Audubon's 26 chapters;
interesting and valuable breakout sessions; afternoon field trips; and the
weekend's highlight, the salmon banquet and presentation by Bill
Ruckelshaus, chair of the Puget Sound Partnership's Leadership Council.
Sunday, hear more presentations by National Audubon Society staff and top
the weekend off by taking a three-hour boat cruise around Protection Island.
Again, all the details can be found at www.olympicpeninsulaaudubon.org
<http://www.olympicpeninsulaaudubon.org/> .

The space left is very limited, so if you'd like to join us for an inspiring
weekend, please send in your registration form now.
