Yesterday, I observed 3 Western Scrub-Jays in downtown Renton. They were very close to the Renton Transit Center, flying back and forth from that area, to the older homes just to the north about a block. Possibly they were visiting a feeder.

Those of us who live in the Renton area are no longer surprised by these colorful birds, at least not me. The field guides need to be changed as I have seen them in Kent, Auburn and Tacoma, and from what is reported on Tweeters, many more places in our area.
