On October 9th, Dan and I observed 23 common loons on Blue Lake in the Coulee Corridor. They are adults with some first year juveniles and many have progressed into their winter plumage. This is a low number compared to other years.

One white-winged scoter at the south end of Banks Lake near the dam.
Many other migrating birds but loons are what we are looking for.
