I really enjoyed your bird images! Thanks for sharing! I spent the morning trying to photograph a belted Kingfisher. What-ev-vurrrrrr.... little buggar was too fast for me today. I did get some beautiful shots of a Godwit. I didn't know what it was until I got home, and the bird column in the Kitsap Sun paper had an article about Godwits ... Hopefully I can post a link to my own catch from today, later this evening..

Another recent treat has been a large number of White-winged Scoters at both Birch Bay and Drayton Harbor. At Birch Bay, the birds have been pretty far out in the bay, as evidenced by the first three pictures in the series linked to below. Yesterday, there were several in close at Drayton Harbor giving me the opportunity to get a couple of better shots.
